I doubt you would be surprised to know that my all-time favorite singer is Frank Sinatra.  With 2019 coming to a close and the time for reflection upon us all, a few classics from Old Blue Eyes resonated with me more than ever.

We all know “My Way”, one of Frank’s biggest hits.  There’s nothing like being your own boss and not having to answer to someone, or be responsible for anyone’s success, other than my own.  That was how I lived my professional life for many years. As much joy and success 2019 has brought, it will always be first and foremost remembered as the year I lost my Mom, “Angel Eyes” as Frank would have called her.  She left us in August, exactly 3 years to the day that my father passed.  Like many parents, all mine really wanted was for me to be my own man and to be successful in whatever made me happy.  They guided me with a humble, blue-collar upbringing in order for me to become a compassionate, heart-centered adult who leads a fulfilling, “no limit” type life.  While my form of wagering may have elevated from flipping quarters as a teen to beating the Las Vegas books, I never have tired of making my Mom and Dad proud, and that continues today as they look down from above.
