I grew up in a small town. Everyone knew everyone else and no one ever left. You went to kindergarten and graduated high school with the same group of guys and girls. A few years after that, fellas would marry a gal that they had gone through puberty with.
I moved away long ago and would occasionally return for the holidays, undoubtedly running into my old friend who were now married to that girl down the street, raising a kid or two (or three). Now, don’t get me wrong…many of them were very happy, living in what I called a naive bliss. But it always got me thinking: were these two “meant to be” or did they end up choosing to get married because they had limited options and felt like they had to get married.
I was reminded of this an often and get calls from One some of oldest friends all the time. First it’s to wish me a merry Xmas, then after exchanging pleasantries, it’s usually a “what’s your strongest play this week” or “do you like anything in this Gasparilla Bowl?” I can’t help but laugh at first. Everyone just loves action, and especially when they don’t have to worry about work for a couple weeks. People want to bet a no name bowl, with two mediocre teams – just because it’s on TV in front of them. If these game were being played during the regular season, they wouldn’t get a second look…but now, as sometimes they are the only game on the board, people want action! The action on these stand alone bowls games can equal the action of a regular season NFL game for one reason only: its the only game available.
Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap
Just like I wanted to tell the guys I grew up with, don’t make a decision based on the absence of other options. It may or may not come back to bite you, but it’s never an advantage play. So many people make silly, unnecessary bets over the holidays because of limited action. Not surprisingly, they dent the bankroll that they worked all year to build. If you’ve noticed, as the available games reduce, so do the Krackwins plays. We NEVER give out a play just so that our users have action.
This past week we had some good and bad. We continued our excellent NFL season, going 6-3 for a 4.3 unit profit. NBA continued to absolutely crush as we are hitting a ridiculous 67% on our props for the year. We went 7-3 in NBA, adding 3.6 units to our bankrolls. College Bowls started off 1-1 as we broke even there (-.3u). We got beaten down in College Basketball, with some bad beats and some down right wrong sides, going 1-5 and dropping 9 units. We are still getting amazing closing line value on the NCAABB games so I am very confident that we will get back on top there. Overall we finished the week 15-11.
I urge everyone to enjoy your time with you family this week. You never know how much time you have left with all of them, so follow our plays, but try not to watch too many sports and be present in the moments because that’s what the holidays are all about. See you all in 2024!
