For the past two decades, no sport has treated me and my bankroll better than college basketball. Without question, the NCAAB season offers some of the sports best betting action on the market. As a loyal KrackWins member, you know that above all else I preach money management and finding value over the long term. College hoops is the best avenue in which to profit using these betting principles. Our record over the past 3 seasons is 613-447, a long-term, battle-tested 58% win rate that you will not find elsewhere. We will be playing daily sides and totals through the NCAA Tournament. That means our volume will be high with Football/PGA still going on and NBA starting back up in less than a month.
NCAAB Sports Betting Tips
While there are 130 FBS college football teams, there are 351 Division-1 college basketball teams. That translates into an average of over 200 games on any given week. On a busy weekend, there could be upwards of 120 games on the board. What does that mean for you as a bettor?
It means that there are a ton of opportunities for edges to be found and value to be had. My team scours the board each and every day to find those games and then deliver them to our subscribers. Being a sharp, winning bettor requires dedication and discipline over the long haul and no haul is longer (or more lucrative) than the college basketball grind. While you are at your day job, the KrackWins team will be grinding all day, every day to find the value for you.
Traditionally, we crush FCS/small market football games. The reason is simple: there is less available information on these teams for the bookmakers to set the number; as such, loose lines are out there to be had. The same goes for college basketball, but with a multitude more opportunities each day. The KrackWins team studies these teams more than the books do themselves…and when the right line presents itself, we pounce. With 351 teams and dozens of games a day to handicap, how much time can a book actually spend setting the Loyola Chicago v. Fairfield line? Keep your eye out for small market games, especially early in the season. When you get the alert, get your bets down before the line moves.
Manage Your Bankroll
Remember, bankroll management is king with college basketball. Games will start at as early as 7:00 pm Eastern on weeknights and 12pm on weekends and run through 11:00 pm starts for West Coast games. This presents the dangerous temptation to chase earlier losses. Do not fall into that trap. Keep your bets the same based on bankroll percentage throughout the season or you will be on tilt before conference play begins. If you miss a play we send out or don’t get down, do not worry and make up for it with the next play we issue. There is more than enough action to go around.
This year will be a little different for NCAA Basketball. The lack of fans and students definitely has an effect on the game. Will this be “baked” into the line right off the bat? Most likely no. Adjustments will be made by the oddsmakers as the season moves forward. As you saw in NFL football, without a preseason and a shortened training camp, the totals were not set high enough early in the year. It took 3+ weeks for the oddsmakers to catch up. We will be keeping a close eye on movement of NCAA Basketball lines, as this year is a great opportunity to hit soft handicapping by the books.
Information will be key, as we don’t know how Covid-19 will affect some of these teams. Some teams have already postponed games, but like we’ve seen in Football this year, the show still goes on and teams keep playing. I am as excited for this college basketball season as I’ve ever been for any season. Buckle in and enjoy the ride as we profit all the way to the Final Four!
