Sports Betting Picks Recap and Look-Ahead – 1/21/22

Jan 23, 2022 | Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap, NCAAB, NFL

With all due respect to LeBron James and Elvis Presley, there simply is no denying that the NFL is King.

The nation’s pro football passion intensifies each year and, as more states jump into the legal sports betting pool, we can expect that trend to accelerate.

By allowing players to be paid for name, image, and likeness (NIL) as well as the explosion of the transfer portal, college football is heading down a slippery slope toward becoming a minor league for the NFL.

Beyond football, the casual fan typically pays little attention to college basketball until March. The NBA gets good eyeballs but does not become full throttle until after the All-Star Break. We all know the struggle that baseball is going through to stay relevant.

So, it is not shocking that in 2021 the NFL dominated our living rooms, accounting for 41 of the top 50 most-watched programs, and 75 of the top 100. And with many of us stuck at home as we deal with the latest pandemic surge, the NFL playoff ratings are going to set all kinds of new viewership records.

On the field, these playoffs could be the most exciting in recent memory as several teams have a shot to make the Super Bowl. In the AFC, we get what may be the two best teams, the Bills and the Chiefs, in the Divisional Round. In the NFC, it is a star studded final four as the Hollywood Rams face off against Tom and the Bucs, and the Niners go to Lambeau Field.

While my first, second, third, and fourth rooting interest is my bankroll and that of the KrackWins member, even I will be glued in front of the TV this weekend watching the games. Wild Card Weekend featured a number of blow-outs, so we all hope these games will make up for it.

Sports Betting Picks Recap

The last two weeks saw us continue to shine in college hoops, going 23-14 (+14.8 units). It’s hard to believe that we will be heading into March Madness in only two months, so let’s make the most of the remaining regular season.

The NFL Playoff Props started out 4-4 (-.5 units) with more in play this weekend. The PGA opened the year 0-1-1 (-1.9 units) and the NBA went 7-6 (+.2 units.) Overall, for first two weeks of 2022, we started off exactly the right way, going 34-25-1 (+12.6 units).

As our long-time members know, KrackWins loves the first few months of the year. We go big on Super Bowl props, which is only a few weeks away, March Madness is around the corner, and the PGA starts to get into swing. Please stay safe, take care of yourself and each other, and let’s enjoy some great action this weekend.
