College basketball certainly felt the wrath of 2020. The pandemic scored a direct hit on the best part of the season and left the NCAA no choice but to cancel March Madness. That decision cost the schools an estimated $375MM and brought tears to the eyes of millions of bracketeers around the country.
Last week the 2020-21 season tipped off with relatively little fanfare. The rock chalk fans in Lawrence, Kansas and the Cameron Crazies were replaced by cardboard cutouts. The student body is such an integral part of what makes college basketball special. Without them, the players are going to have to bring their own energy every night. Most teams play 8-9 guys, so Covid-related absences will have a real impact on the lines and outcomes. We already have seen two top 5 teams lose as big double-digit favorites and more wackiness is sure to follow. Our team, as always, is focused on finding the few advantage plays on a full nightly board. Now let’s dig into my sports betting picks recap from this past week.
Sports Betting News and Picks Recap
Our run of winning weeks continued as we jumped in to NCAAB with both feet and landed well with 9-6-1 result (+5.3 units). The NFL went 9-6-1 (+2.9 units) and a relatively light NCAAF sled went 3-1 (+3.15 units). Overall, we delivered a very solid 21-13-2 week (+11.3 units).
The NFL is heading full steam into the last quarter of the season and only a few weeks of college football remain. Incredibly, the NBA will be back in less than 3 weeks. I feel like they never left. Basketball wins will be out there every night and we will find them for you. Let’s close out this year with a string of more W’s and keep this train rolling.
