Jun 15, 2022 | Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap, Golf, Golf Picks, MLB, NBA, Sports Betting Tips

In big news for sports betting, last month marked four years since the Supreme Court found the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), the federal law prohibiting states from authorizing sports betting, to be unconstitutional. This ruling left it up to individual states to decide if they want to authorize and regulate sports betting in their state.

Is it Finally Time for Nation-Wide Legalized Sports Betting?

The ruling back in May 2018 changed the future of sports betting and affected many peoples lives. Now seeing the four year anniversary of the shot heard round the world, I thought we should check in on where we are. We are now legally taking sports bets in 32 different states. 19 of these states offer mobile betting with multiple options of sports books. Four more states look to go legal this year and seven other states are in discussions. The time for nation-wide legalized sports betting is here!

All Eyes are on the East Coast

I always said that Nevada’s reign as the top dog of sports betting would come to a halt when the east coast opened its doors. Well, that time has come if you take a look at the handle numbers for April 2022. New York was number one with $1.4 Billion in wagers and New Jersey second at $927 Million. Nevada came in less than half of New York dollar amount at $589 Million in wagers taken. Las Vegas can no longer be considered the king of sports betting and the gap is widening…

PGA & NASCAR Sports Betting Picks

Last week was filled with tons of sports betting options for us as we roll through the summer weeks. PGA matchups went 2-0 (+3 units) last week. We are really excited for the US Open this week at The Country Club in Brookline Massachusetts. Nascar was a slower week as we lost our only matchup (0-1 -1.7u).

Wrapping Up – NBA Finals

The NBA Finals finishes up this week with Golden State leading 3-2 as the series moves to Boston for Game 6. Our player props went 2-1 this past week with our only loss losing by one basket. Overall we’ve seen a decent series between the Warriors and Celtics but most true basketball fans are still rooting for a Game 7. WNBA had an odd week with 2 pushes, finishing 1-1-2 (-.2u).

2022 Baseball

The NCAA Baseball Super Regionals treated us well as we went 2-1 (+2.4u). We hope to build on our 8-4 tournament record as 8 teams remain now for the College World Series Title. Major League Baseball was a tough week as we finished 4-7-2 (-3.3u).

Sports Betting Weekly Recap

Overall Krackwins went 11-11-4 for a 1 unit profit. This week should have some good +EV opportunities throughout the full slate of sports we are firing away on. The summer grind continues…
