As more and more of the country is paying attention not just to who won the game, but what the final score was, the more indignation you see after wild finishes, screaming “THE FIX WAS IN.” The thing about complaints about a fixed game….what about the people that were on the other side? Why do we call them “Bad Beats” when the other 50% of bettors would call it a “Miracle Win.” It all goes back to the human condition and the stance you are sitting on when you commit your feelings and finances to a game.
Two weeks ago, everyone could not stop talking about Patrick Mahomes sliding to end the game with a sure touchdown in front of him, making the Chiefs 3-point winners instead of 10 point winners – pleasing all Jets backers and causing all Chief -9.5 bettors to flock to social media with calls of a fixed game. These people are so upset about losing a bet that they actually believe that Mahomes and his 450-million-dollar contract would actually shave points in a game. The bottom line is that more eyeballs on the wining margin and the total points scored equals more cries of impropriety. Let me just tell you, I have been doing this for 30 years and have seen these same swings end games all the time. There is no fix….we are just paying much more attention with our eyes, hearts and most of all, wallets.
Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap
NCAA Football remained hot for KrackWins Nation, going 8-3 (+9.2 units.) Our Premium Members enjoyed another 3 unit winner our FCS play – plays which we have hit at over 60% since we started KrackWins. Remember to pay attention to your notifications and bet these games as soon as the play is released because the line moves fast. The NFL plays went 7-10 overall (-3.5 units). The 1972 Miami Dolphins got to pop the bubbly again with the two remaining undefeated teams (49ers and Eagles) suffering their first loss. Scoring dipped a bit last week as Unders went a shocking 12-2. This coming week in the NFL has five totals at 40 or less so the bookmakers have already adjusted.
The MLB playoffs are down to the League Championship Series as the three 100+ win teams (Dodgers, Braves, Orioles) were eliminated with a whimper. This begs the question….is this the correct format for the Playoffs? Are 12 teams too many? Should the division series be best of 7 instead of 5? At any rate, I am hoping for a competitive World Series with some good player props to attack. Last week we split our MLB player props, going 1-1 (-.3 units.) Overall it was another profitable week for KrackWins Nation – going 16-14 for a +5.4 unit profit.
This is truly the best time to be alive for sports bettors. The NFL and NCAAF are in the heart of the matter. MLB Playoffs are here and the World Series is days away. The NBA Season starts next week and college basketball is right behind it! Be on the lookout for our NBA Primer next week and be sure you are locked and loaded for the heavy volume coming your way over the next several weeks.
