While there is no doubt that the NFL rules the sports landscape, I always get a little extra pep in my step when playoff baseball begins. Hearing the crack of the bat on the radio while driving in my car, transports me back to the porch, sitting with my Father as he lived and died with every Yankees playoff game. And while the Boys from the Bronx had a season to forget, October baseball and the tension every pitch brings remains. The eight teams still playing baseball offers a mix of the usual suspects (Astros, Braves, Dodgers and Phillies) with a new breed of teams who haven’t tasted postseason success in a long time (Dbacks, Orioles, Rangers, Twins.) I am looking forward to a fantastic postseason. We went 1-0 (+1 unit) to end a very profitable MLB regular season. We will be digging into the Player Prop market in this years playoffs which have traditionally been good to us.
Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap
October baseball means that the NFL season is a quarter way in. The stronger franchises (Eagles 49ers, Cowboys, Bills, Chiefs, Ravens) continue to show strength while others (Panthers, Bears, Broncos) cannot seem to get out of their own way. Last week saw a less than fulfilling 9-9-1 (-1.1 units) but there is a feeling that we are on the brink of a big week as volume picks up with more data to rely on. NCAAF was no different, going 5-4-2 (+.3 units.) This week features a couple of 5-0 matchups as #12 Oklahoma takes on #3 Texas in the Red River Rivalry and surprising #20 Kentucky heads to #1 Georgia to see how they fare against the big boys.
Overall KrackWins went 15-13-2 last week closing out the month right at break even. While I know this is a disappointment to my new subscribers (and to me), as our longer term members will tell you, stay the course and your patience will be rewarded as we head towards the 59.7% win rate we’ve seen in the NFL the last three years. Remember, win lose or draw, staying transparent is the name of the game and always remember we are hear for the full season, not just the first quarter. The fall is my favorite betting time of the year. NFL, NCAAF and MLB is in full throat. The NBA Season is days away and NCAAB follows right behind it. Buckle in and let’s have a great October!
