If you are a basketball fan, this is the most wonderful time of the year. Conference tournaments are in full swing this week, culminating with Selection Sunday on March 17th. Three of the top four #1 seeds appear to be locked in (Houston, UConn, Purdue) with the last likely to be decided between UNC and Tennessee. The madness of brackets and four days straight of non-stop games is just days away. With all those games, there will be plenty of opportunities for lots of good positive expectancy wagers, so don’t put all your eggs in one basket. I will personally make around a dozen bets or more during this first round. Historically, KrackWins members have done extremely well in the first round of the dance. As we get into the Sweet Sixteen and the elite eight expect to be making less wagers. Lines get tougher as the tournament goes on. So I like to only wager on high percentage plays. Just remember, bet with your head not over it, and do not get caught in all the hype and the craziness of March Madness. There are now four channels showing all the games, all day and night. Games start at 9:00 am Pacific and go until 9:00 pm. As always, don’t bet a game just because it is in front of you on TV or next on the card. I promise you, your bankroll will be empty by the Sweet 16.

Last week was a bit of a grind and also offered another lesson in line shopping. NCAAB went 7-5-2 (+1.9 units.) Those two pushes were losses for 90% of the public who did not get the number we had. If you can, always shop for the best number. It will pay off cumulatively in a big way at the end of your year. Golf went 1-0-1 (+1.5 units) and NBA Props had their first down week in months, going 3-6 (-3.9 units.) Overall for the week, it was a kiss the sister all around – 11-11-3 (-.4 units.)
