Every year after the close of college hoops, I head to the Southern US. This year, before heading to Florida to see family, I stopped to spend time with friends and watch Scottie Scheffler win again at the RBC Heritage Open in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Our PGA matchups split, going 1-1 (-.2 units.). As always, that classic “Southern Hospitality” was alive and well. Everything seems to move at a slower pace in that part of the country and I truly enjoy the break from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas and New York/New Jersey. I look forward to the day when places like South Carolina, Georgia and Florida add sportsbooks to their casinos
The NBA Playoffs are in full effect and for the fourth year in a row, impactful injuries to stars are playing a major role. In the East, both the Bucks and the Heat have been forced to play without their top stars Giannis and Jimmy Butler. Meanwhile, Joel Embid is toughing it out on one leg. In the West, Kawhi Leonard is not a full strength and the Pelicans are trying to make noise without Zion. By now, everyone knows how well our NBA Player Props have done all year. Last week was the first non-black week I can recall, going 7-8 (-.8 units.) I love the NBA Playoffs and the next few weeks will be packed with action and more positive expected value selections.
Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap
As you have heard me say many times, MLB is the longest grind of any sport – complete with hot and cold runs. Last week was one of the runs we like to see in MLB, going 7-1-1 (+5.7 units.) We will continue to add volume as the teams get into their groove.
Overall, KW Nation went 15-10-1 (+4.7 units) for the week. We will be looking to continue the hot MLB run along with advantage PGA matchups and NBA plays. We are pumped for a big month of May with PGA, NBA, MLB and immediately thereafter, one of our cash cows, WNBA. Enjoy the action and let’s keep grinding.
