The everyday fan finds summer to be the slow season in sports. I am often asked if I take a break from the grind during the summer months. There are sporting events to bet on 365 days a year, and there are no days off! While some stretches are lighter than others, the sports betting grind is really an all-year affair, especially when you can often find the best value when not everyone is paying attention. From a competition standpoint, we have two of the USA’s Big Four playing to crown a champion (NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals) as well as a ton of college postseason tournaments, PGA events, WNBA and more.
Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap
Speaking of the NBA Playoffs, our run in Player Props has been one of my most successful runs in recent memory. Last week we went 5-1 on props and 1-0 on a total, for a 5.2 unit profit. This brings the KrackWins NBA playoff record to a fantastic 64% (71-40-2). Everyone was throwing dirt on the grave of the Miami Heat after Game 1 but showed they were there for a reason – taking game 2 in Denver and hopefully leading to a long series. I don’t have a dog in the fight in terms of who wins….all I know is more games means more opportunities to pick off winners – so let’s go 7.
Viktor Hovland outlasted Denny McCarthy in a playoff to win the Memorial Tournament last week and our matchups went 1-1 (-.3 units) when Patrick Cantlay blew up with a +6 on Sunday. This week takes us to Canada for the RBC Open where very little of the talk will be about the golf. In new no one saw coming, The PGA and LIV have decided to put differences aside and merge forces – showing us once again, that money rules everything, especially sports.
As usual, KrackWins was firing away on the College Baseball Tournament with great success. We finished the Regionals on Monday going 7-4 for +2.6 units and are excited to keep it going with the Super Regionals this week. The professional hardball bets finished last week 4-4-1 (-.6 units.) The MLB season just keeps coming at you and here we are just one month away from the All-Star break. The Vegas Knights are two wins away from winning the Stanley Cup and giving Las Vegas its first professional sports championship. We didn’t have any NHL plays last week but did have one USFL loser (0-1 -1.3 units) as well as one in the WNBA (-1.4 units.)
Overall, it was another week in the black for KW Nation – going 18-12-1 (+4.5 units). More PGA, MLB, NBA and WNBA are on the way. And, one of my more profitable events, the NBA Draft, is just a couple weeks away. Stay cool my friends and remember, we don’t take days off so that occasionally, you can.
