“The New Normal.”
That phrase has been uttered a lot since the world was hit with the pandemic this past spring. What does it mean? Well, it means patrolling the produce aisle at the grocery store wearing a medical mask. It means standing across the street as you catch up with your neighbor. It means home schooling and camping in the backyard.
It also applies across the sports world. We have seen golf courses with no galleries and baseball stadiums littered with cardboard cutouts for fans. The outbreak within the Marlins organization triggered the cancellation of MLB games. Let’s hope that is a trend that does not continue.
On the other hand, we are grateful in life and in sports for what we do have. It felt great to have an active betting board this past week for the first time in months. And there is more to come!
Sports Betting Weekly Recap – July 28, 2020
The NBA starts this week with all games to be played in Orlando’s Disneyworld complex without fans. The 22 postseason-eligible teams will play 8 regular season games followed by a structured playoff running through October. The neutral site and empty arenas will impact the lines and being able to spot the betting opportunities early will be huge. As seasoned subscribers know, NBA totals have netted me the most units of any sport over the past 2 seasons. We went 62% (259-183) in the 2018-19 season pulling in over 89 units. This year, before the pandemic put a halt to the season, we were hitting at a 59% clip (149-104) and up 51 units. I have been successful betting NBA playoff totals my entire career so we will be active from the jump.
We grinded out a winning week with our first broadened board slate (+1.95 units total). Golf matchups rang the bell again, going 2-1 on the week. That makes us 8-3 over the past three events. This week is a WGC Event at the Fed Ex St. Jude in Memphis and the last tournament before this season’s first major next week, the PGA Championship next week. Golf’s major season has always started with The Masters so this will take some getting used to.
No one knew what to expect as MLB began its truncated 60 day sprint. We went 3-3 on the week and will continue to pick our spots. If you have not read it, please take a look at our MLB primer posted last week to get smarter on how to win betting baseball. Our first WNBA play was an easy winner (1-0, +1.75 units).
We released a few future bets last week with a few more to come this week for Premium members only.
As we all adjust to the new normal, you can expect one thing to remain the exact same: the proven KrackWins method to build your bankroll using the insider’s edge and smart money management over time.
