Happy Holidays KrackWins Nation! We made our way through the grind of a long college football regular season and that can only mean one thing…Bowl Season is here!
With the college football playoff system likely expanding to 8 teams next year, and possibly 16 in the years that follow, this year could be one of our last opportunities to bet a full slate of obscure bowl games. Bowls like the Weed-Wacker Bowl, the Beef O’ Brady Bowl, and the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl could eventually become the stuff of memories. These games may mean little to those outside of the two fan bases and the Bowl sponsors – but in the world of sports betting, they are towering in importance. Nothing gives us the most famous bad beats, last second covers, and meltdowns like those December bowl games that have nothing to do with the Championship.
Everyone remembers the 2012 Belk Bowl where +10.5 underdog Duke had the ball 1st and Goal in a tie 34-34 game with 1 minute left and somehow lost by 14. Or how about the 2014 Bahama Bowl? Would anyone even remember that game if they weren’t holding a Western Michigan -2.5 ticket leading 49-14 late in the third quarter that they would soon rip up. Things can get wild in bowl games. Which is why we consistently find advantages across the board. Last year, KrackWins delivered a 64% win-rate on these games, following a long trend of success in the past. Here are a few insider tips on how we have gained our edge.
College Football Bowl Sports Betting Tips
Bowls have changed in the recent past, with more star players opting out to avoid injury before the NFL Draft. Similarly, coach movement can play a factor with many teams playing for an interim coach, where a change has been made since the season finale. Traditionally, we get down on these games as early as possible in order to find the best possible advantage. Recently however, I have held off, sometimes until game day, in order to be certain of the team makeup. This makes information more important than ever. If we have information on lineup changes before the books adjust, that is a huge advantage. And our information network and handicapping analysis is the best in class.
I generally think “motivation” is overrated. But not in the bowls. Often, you will find a matchup between a team that is thrilled “just to be there” versus a team that is disappointed they did not make a bigger game. While this is eventually baked into the line, you can gain a big advantage by studying online to feel out a team’s state of mind going into the game.
Bankroll Management Is Key
As always, you have to remain consistent with your bankroll. There are 42 bowl game beginning on December 17 and continuing through the Championship in the first week of January. Stay within 1-3% on each play and as you build your bankroll, your unit size will continue to rise. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, this is a marathon not a sprint – especially within bowl season. Win or lose that day, don’t let the result in the Bahamas Bowl impact how you play the LendingTree Bowl. There will be more advantage plays the next day(s)! Enjoy Bowl season, use our expertise, and let’s end the NCAAF Season with some extra green for the new year.
