You have to hand it to the NFL. When the pandemic led to cancellations and postponements across the sports world, they never wavered. The season started right on time as promised.
All 32 teams played a full season of 16 games. Some games were moved, some games were played on Tuesday, and some games were even played without a quarterback (sorry Denver). But not one game was cancelled…and now we have made it to football fan utopia – the playoffs.
Covid’s impact still will be present during the playoffs. Stadiums will be (mostly) empty and the storied playoff atmosphere at venues like Lambeau Field and Arrowhead will be confined old highlight reels. The colder weather and the unmatched passion of the home crowd is what makes playoff football feel different. It will feel a bit odd not to have that part. Nonetheless, the NFL is king and the ratings will be off the charts, especially considering how most of the nation is stuck at home.
On the field, these playoffs could be the most exciting in recent memory as several teams feel they have a good shot to make the Super Bowl. In the NFC, the Packers, Saints, Seahawks, and Bucs all seem like they could make a run. In the AFC, Kansas City may be the favorite, but no team has been hotter the last six weeks than the Bills and the Ravens. While my first, second, third, and fourth rooting interest is my bankroll and the wallets of KrackWins members, I still will be in front of the TV this weekend watching the games. Playoff props, totals, and teasers will be on the way, so get ready to kick off the second season the right way.
The magic carpet ride continued for KrackWins Nation with yet another winning week overall and in each individual sport. Let’s dive into my sports betting picks recap.
