Sports Betting Picks Recap and Look-Ahead – 11/13/20

Nov 13, 2020 | Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap, Golf, MLB, NBA, NCAAF, NFL

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Masters was postponed from its annual run in April to this weekend.  That seven-month delay will make it a Masters unlike any other.  When golf fans think of Augusta National Golf Club, actual play often comes to mind second behind the majestic course itself, its trademark holes, and lush azaleas.  They say there are more than 30 varieties of azaleas on the course and in fact the 13th hole is named Azalea.  Now, I don’t know a thing about flowers, plants, or gardening.  To me, a green thumb is what happens when I flip through my bankroll after a good weekend in the book.  That said, I do know the lack of flowers will be just one of the changes we will see at this year’s Masters.

The course will play differently and longer.  There will be no crowds.  There will be wind.  Players will layer up for the cooler temperatures.  Legendary PGA Tour Caddy Cayce Kerr discussed ways the Masters will look and feel different this year on this week’s episode of Wise Kracks.  Cayce has been caddied in over 1,000 PGA tournaments, including over 100 majors, and has been on the bag for 14 PGA major winners, nine golf Hall of Famers, and six world #1 ranked players.  Two of his players, Fred Couples and Vijay Singh, have Green Jackets.  So make sure to tune into the podcast here to get yourself primed.

Betting The 2020 PGA Masters

As tenured members know, our golf plays are unrivaled, both historically and this year, going 64-37 (+39 units) in the 2019-20 season.  We already sent out a number of plays.  I am really excited – the Masters is the only golf event that I sit down and watch intensively for all four days. Now let’s dig into my sports betting picks recap from last week.

Sports Betting News and Picks Recap

This past week, we had to settle for a push, going 11-10 (-.3 units).  College Football had its second winning week in a row, going 5-3 (+2.9 units), which could have been 6-2 if not for that wild scene in South Bend.  NFL went 6-6 (-1.4 units) and our sole golf play lost (-1.75 units).

Looking forward, we are now less than two weeks away from the start of college basketball.  For the past decade, no sport has treated me and my bankroll better.  I am looking forward to another profitable season for all of us.  Not far behind, we now have the NBA set for a December 22 start.  That’s a nice holiday gift.  With football full steam and hoops coming soon, we are ready to finish off 2020 the right way.
