Are you ready for some Sports Betting Picks?
It’s amazing how quickly things can change when big dollars are involved. Just five years ago, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that the league and its owners “strongly oppose” legalized sports betting. Singing a different tune now, aren’t you Rog? The NFL has not only accepted sports betting as part of its culture, it has embraced it, entering into massive partnership deals with Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings, and FanDuel. Online sports books have signage plastered across every stadium and ads strewn across every football game that’s broadcast. When the Bills travel to LA to face the defending champion Rams on Thursday, fans across the country will have millions of legal dollars pending on the outcome of that one game. As Rocky said to the Russians, ”If I can change, you can change, then we can change.” What a wonderful world.
Now, are you ready for some football?!
The NFL preseason came to a close this past week and it was another stellar run. Even though a couple bad beats led to a 3-3 (-.9 units) final week, overall for the NFL preseason, KrackWins profited +13.5 units. While we need to wait another week for the big boys, NCAA football kicked off last week with what they are calling “Week 0.” The most watched game of the day saw the Nebraska Cornhuskers tussle with Northwestern in Dublin, Ireland. The heavily favored Cornhuskers took an early lead and due to some questionable play calling, allowed the Wildcats to storm back for the upset win, 31-28. Nebraska Head Coach Scott Frost, whose seat was already hot, is now under even more fire from Big Red Nation.
However, Frost’s loss was our gain, as we hit the Over 51. KrackWins went 2-1 (+1.8 units) on NCAAF Week 0, but dropped our only FCS play (-3.3 units). As I have said many times, these FCS games are truly some of my favorite action in and the closing value we get cannot be topped. Always get these bets into your book as soon as you can. I am excited about a full slate of FCS this week. A number of sports betting picks have already been released to our members!
MLB, PGA, and WNBA
As for other sports…While our volume in MLB slightly decreases as the playoffs approach, our quality of plays has not, as last week was our second straight sweep (3-0, +3 units). There are only 30 games left in the regular season, so let’s end the season hot in advance of this year’s new postseason format. The PGA season came to a close as Scottie Scheffler blew a six shot lead Sunday and Rory McIlroy was crowned the Tour Champion. We finished a disappointing 1-3 in our matchups (-4.1 units). The WNBA is down to the conference finals and last week we won our only WNBA play (1-0 +1.5 units).
Sports Betting Weekly Recap
Overall, last week KrackWins finished 10-8, losing two units. You have heard me say a number of times recently to expect more volume. Well, the time is here. A number of college football plays have been released for this weekend with more to come. As for the NFL, we have already fired away on a number of season long futures and are ready for the season to begin with sports betting picks on sides, totals, player props, and teasers. As you know, the KrackWins App allows you to see and keep track of your plays, the line moves, and the game scores all in one place. We are the one stop shop for all things sports betting and we couldn’t be more excited that football is here. Thank you Roger. And away we go…
