Betting on sports is slowly becoming engrained into our every day society. You literally cannot turn on the TV or go to a game without seeing dozens of advertisements for sports books. While the popularity of the industry is a plus for me overall, I will admit that I worry about the younger generation falling into the trap and false narrative of becoming a winner and blowing money that they simply don’t have to lose.
Informing the new generation about responsible gambling and bankroll management is one of the true benefits that the KrackWins platform provides me. There are tons of rules to follow on an everyday basis depending on the sport, but if I had to limit my message to three golden commandments, they would be the following:
- Always keep a separate bankroll for only sports betting. Keep that bankroll apart and aside from all of your other monies at all times and never the two shall cross.
- Do not over bet. You should be playing around 1% of your allotted bankroll on each play (1% should equal one unit with a 100 unit total bankroll.)
- Do not, under any circumstance, chase losses. The biggest horror stories are always about a bettor who tried to cover his losses with bigger bets and ended up going flat broke. I don’t care who you are, you are not going to win every day, or week, or month. Accept the fact that you are down that day and stay the course.
Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap
KrackWins Nation continued to up its bankroll last week, finishing 16-11-1 (+2.7 units.) NBA player props have been our cash cow the last few months and they did well again last week, going 9-6-1 in the NBA leading into the Conference Finals. The Nuggets, Lakers, Heat and Celtics make up the final four this year – ironically, these are the same teams that made the Conference Finals in the Orlando Bubble just three years ago. Our preseason “Sixers to win the East” future (+800) went down along with Doc Rivers but we still have our Western Conference Preseason Future to pull for. Let’s hope for two great 7 game series!
As usual, the MLB continued to be a rollercoaster. Even with a couple 9th inning blown leads, we still finished the week 6-4 (+1.2 units.) The PGA Championship is at Oak Hill Country Club this week, providing the mix of PGA and LIV players like Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Cam Smith. Nearly a half dozen matchups have been sent to our members. Last week we went 1-1 (-.6 units.)
In addition to the NBA Playoffs, MLB and Golf, we will be adding WNBA and the NCAA Baseball Tournament to our slate this week. Conference Finals Basketball and Golf’s Second Major will make for a great weekend. Enjoy the final days of Spring before the Summer really heats up!
