Time stops for no one. As years go by, it is amazing how certain sounds or smells can bring you back in time to a feeling from your childhood. Certain foods, like an antipasti, or sausage and peppers, put me right back at my mother’s kitchen table, waiting anxiously for her to serve her masterpiece.
Hearing the crack of the bat on the radio while driving in my car, transports me back to the porch, sitting with my father as he lived and died with every Yankees game. While baseball was and remains my first love in sports, you know by now that my loyalty starts and ends with my bankroll.
Successfully betting baseball is the very definition of a grind. You have to work through the daily boards and not be swayed by the weekly game volume. Thirty teams playing a 162-game schedule equals 2,430 games a year! With first 5-inning bets, run lines, and over/unders, there are close to 15,000 bets you can make each baseball season. This makes baseball, more than any other sport, all about being extra selective with your plays and staying ultra-disciplined no matter what kind of run you may be on (hot or cold). By the same token, the high volume allows my insider edge to have more statistical power. Let’s dive into my sports betting picks recap for the week.
Sports Betting Picks Recap and Look-Ahead
I couldn’t be much happier with our 7-1 mark in MLB last week (+5.8 units). It has been a fantastic first quarter of the season. We will stay the course and look to build on our profit.
The NBA also had a great week, going 4-1 (+4.3 units). The second round of the playoffs has some great matchups already taking shape. WNBA went 2-3 for the week (-1.6 units), as we try to make up for an early season hole. NHL went 1-1 (even) and golf matchups had their first rough week of the year, going 0-3 (-5.4 units). I literally can’t remember the last donut we posted on golf, so let’s just put that behind us.
Overall, we went 14-9 (+3.1 units). Another winning week as we drop headfirst into summer. Baseball, PGA, NBA, WNBA and hockey will all be on the card this week so let’s keep grinding and growing our roll into summer.
