There is an odd stretch in the sports world for the few weeks after the Super Bowl. When football ends, everyone feels a bit of pigskin withdrawal and depression. The NBA is approaching the mid-point of the season from a game count, but especially with this year’s late start, the League is just starting to take real shape, identifying the haves and have-nots. College basketball games fill the board with everyone starting to eyeball March. The PGA tour has officially started but everyone knows the season really starts in April at Augusta. Catchers and pitchers report in a few weeks.
I don’t mind this little pocket. First, there are great betting opportunities. Second, I know it’s just a touch of calm before the storm. March Madness kicks off an intensive few months for me and my team heading into the summer. Historically, the conference tournaments and first three rounds of the NCAA Tourney have been very profitable. Golf matchup volume grows as the season progresses and the fields fill up with the top players. Post All-Star break, teams start to jockey hard for the NBA playoffs. With that, I expect to see some lower totals as games take on less of an open gym feel. Let’s dive into my sports betting picks recap from last week.
Sports Betting News and Picks Recap
This past week was the first losing week for KrackWins in 22 weeks. College hoops went 5-8 (-7.6 units), NBA went 6-2 (+4.8 units), and the NHL was not good to us, going 0-2 (-2 units). Overall, the light volume week landed at 11-13 (-4.8 units). It was going to happen at some point. Frankly, I cannot believe that we went close to half a year straight without a weekly L. What an epic run. As we close out February, expect the play volume to increase and get ready for more details soon on our KrackWins March Madness contest.
