It’s an odd stretch in the sports world for the few weeks after the Super Bowl. Everyone feels a little bit of pigskin withdrawal and depression. But for the sports bettor, the grind never stops.
Personally, I don’t mind this little pocket of time. This is the calm before the storm. March Madness, the NBA Playoff run, and the heart of the PGA season warm up with the weather. Historically, the Spring season has been very profitable for me. There are even more opportunities for the NBA playoffs as legalization has opened up the NBA Player Prop market which I hope to expose some weaknesses there. PGA Matchup volume is about to pick up too.
That all said, I am disappointed in our results for the month of February. It closes as our first losing month since May 2021. While I hate having a losing month for the newer subscribers, my long-term guys know that having losing months is a part of this whole sports betting for a profit thing. When you look back at our full record, though I am not happy with this past month’s results, I am extremely happy and proud to say its only our 5th losing month in the last 3 years! Some bettors like to hop off the ship and back on the ship depending on how the current waters are. Though promises can’t be made, you have to remove emotion of current streaks and look at everything long term. We are still making +EV plays each and every day and the grind continues. Let’s dive into my sports betting picks recap for the last week.
Sports Betting Picks Recap
This past week we gained some momentum in the PGA and NBA, but NCAA Baskets was a tough grind. NBA finished 2-1 (+1.4 units) and PGA Matchups swept 2-0 (+3.5 units) as College Hoops fell to 7-12-1 (-12.4 units). Overall, we finished 11-13-1 (-8 units). Expect volume to increase in the next few weeks as we gear up for tournament and playoff basketball, let the Madness begin!
