Sports Betting Picks Recap and Look-Ahead – 3/8/21

Mar 8, 2021 | Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap, Golf, NBA, NCAAB, NCAAF

A year ago, we were floating along in our own lives, blissfully ignorant.   The ice was starting to melt, the birds were starting to chirp, and spring was on the horizon.  Sports fans were giddy with anticipation to fill out their March Madness bracket.  Then everything changed.  Fear and uncertainty set in.  Sports were cancelled.  Seeing the world in isolation and behind a mask began.

A full year later, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.  The vaccine rollout continues.  Restaurants are re-opening and kids are getting back in school.  But it has been the longest year ever and one we will never forget.  Many were lost and those wounds will never heal.  The impact from isolation and fear will leave scars.  And we all are on notice that viral outbreaks no longer are isolated, remote events or the stuff of apocalyptic movies.

That said, I also think that a lot of hidden good will come from this experience.  I think we will truly value things more – both big and small.  Whether it is time spent around the Thanksgiving table with our family, or the simple pleasure of attending a concert in the park, I know there are 1,000 things that I took for granted before that will mean so much more to me now.

I certainly am thankful that NCAA basketball has made it to their postseason.  The first two rounds of the Big Dance have always been very profitable to me.  Unique, first-time matchups produce a number of loose lines from the book.  We will be ready to pounce.  Let’s dive into my sports betting picks recap.

Sports Betting News and Picks Recap

Last week started slow and then closed strong with 10-11 mark overall and winning .5 units.  NCAAB went 6-4-1 (+3.2 units), NBA went 2-5 (-3.5 units), Golf swung and missed (0-2, -4.2 units), and FCS football had two easy winners, going 2-0 (+5 units).

Spring training has begun and baseball is so close you can almost smell the peanuts and Cracker Jack.  The NBA season takes a week off and starts its second half on March 10.  With a shortened season and an expanded playoff format, it should be a fantastic few months of hoops.  The NCAA tournament begins the following week, on March 18.  The KrackWins Bracket Challenge will open up with Selection Sunday next week.  It will be free to enter, so don’t miss out on your chance to win.  Expect an announcement with all the details this coming week.
