Nothing in sport can match the pageantry of The Run for the Roses and this past weekend we saw upstart Mage win the wide open running of the Kentucky Derby. I am regularly asked if I bet on horse racing throughout the year. While we did have one losing matchup for the Derby this year (0-1 -1 unit), I do not get include the grind of the ponies in my repertoire. I used to dabble a bit more back in the ‘90’s when you could still find spots that didn’t affect the pool, but for the most part, the game has really changed as sports betting has become legalized. The hold now is way too high in a race book for a seasoned sports bettor who truly believes in analytics. I have know many of successful gamblers who have lost it all back at the track and while it can serve as a quick fix for those who need the gambling rush, there are enough other bets on the to keep even the most ravenous bettor full.
Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap
About a quarter into the season, we are starting to pick up some momentum betting Major League Baseball. Our volume is steadily increasing and we are picking out more and more advantage plays each day. KrackWins went 6-3-1 on our MLB plays last week for a +2.6 unit profit. The meaty part of the season is still in front of us and I’m excited for this summers full slate.
The NBA Playoffs have been full of excitement and surprises and a number of the remaining teams have a realistic shot at winning it all. We have been firing away on player props each and every game and our regular season success has continued into the playoffs, going 10-6-1 (+3.3 units) last week.
The results at this past week’s Wells Fargo Championship did not help our bankroll as we lost both matchups, dropped 3.7 units. We are back at it this week for the AT&T Byron Nelson in McKinney, Texas and expect to trend upwards with the heart of the PGA schedule ahead.
Overall last week KrackWins finished 16-11-2, +2.2 units. The WNBA tips off soon and as our long time members know, the WNBA season is short and very profitable for us year after year. We continue to fire away on MLB, PGA, NBA Playoffs and NASCAR as Spring turns into Summer. Let’s keep the winning weeks going. Down the stretch we go!
