When you think some semblance of normalcy has returned, things get scrambled around again. This year certainly has been an improvement over the 2020 Year of the Shut Down. Until the last few weeks, sports proceeded in a fairly typical fashion, albeit with varying rules on masks and vaccine requirements depending on the location. All of a sudden, Covid cases popped up all over the NFL and the NBA postponed all of the Bulls games this week.
All we can do is keep pushing forward, be safe for each other, and be grateful for what we have as we contemplate all of those who have had it way worse. Sports have been and will always be our escape…those three hour stretches where we can worry about first downs and game winning shots and forget about the rest. It’s the best reality show there is.
College Football Bowl Betting Tips
The next few weeks will bring time with the family, college bowl season, and a dramatic end to this extended NFL season. Bowl season delivers not only some of the wildest games of the year but also a lot of advantage plays as books handicap matchups with little to no historical support upon which to base their lines. A number of bowl games have already been sent to our members and many more will follow. The 42 games stretching over three weeks requires discipline and selectivity. There is no greater pull than wanting to make a play on the Hawaii Bowl when it’s the only game available on Christmas Night. Remember, just because a game is on doesn’t mean it needs to be bet. Let’s dive into my sports betting picks recap for the past week.
Sports Betting Picks Recap
The NFL has continued to dominate, going 5-1 (+5.5 units). That makes our NFL plays 24-9-1 since November 1st. You will not find those results anywhere else. Last week, we had our first losing result all season in college basketball, going 7-9 (-5.7 units) and the NBA went 0-2 (-3 units). Overall, we finished at 12-12 (-3.2 units).
College basketball has already started this new week hot and NFL plays for the week have already been sent out. With only 2 more weeks left in 2021, let’s celebrate the end of this wild year with a bang. Happy Holidays!
