Sports Betting Picks Recap and Look-Ahead – 2/4/22

Feb 4, 2022 | Sports Betting Picks Weekly Recap, NCAAB, NFL

“I’ve always found it interesting how different people gauge the passing of time.  For many, it hits them when they see old pictures of themselves, perhaps looking leaner with fewer wrinkles.  For others, it is realizing that their kids no longer want to play with toys and are now much more interested in their iPads.  For NFL fans, this week reminded us of that ever-ticking clock as we saw the end of an era with Drew Brees playing his last game as a New Orleans Saint.”

That was the opener to a recap I wrote in January 2021.  Almost exactly one year later, my mind went to the same place following the retirement of Tom Brady.  No matter what you think of Brady, there will never be another.  A sixth-round draft pick who went on to win SEVEN Super Bowls and appear in three others.  Good looking, polite, talented, and married to the top super model in the world.  The only reason you could truly dislike him was because it just seemed unfair that one guy could dominate life so much in every way.

Regardless, one thing is for certain – for our generation, his retirement marks the end of an era in the NFL.  Rivers, Eli, Peyton, Big Ben, Brees, and now Brady…all have hung up their helmets and cleats.  Now don’t get me wrong, the NFL in is great hands for the next decade with studs like Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert and others, but it will never be quite the same.  I never called myself a Brady fan, and as you know, my only true fandom is our bankrolls….but I do appreciate greatness and have a sense of history.  I will miss him as a part of football.  Thanks Tom.

Sports Betting Picks Recap

Let’s dive into my sports betting picks recap – the past week was a real up and down slog.  With only two games to bet, the NFL had its first non-winning week in forever, going 2-3 (-1.4 units).  College basketball was in the black again, going 11-9-1 (+2.2 units) and the NBA was 2-3 (-1.9 units).  Overall, we went a symmetrical 15-15-1 (-1.1 units).  After a restless Pro Bowl weekend pause, we still have one more game to go and you know that means it is Super Bowl prop time.  One prop has already been released with many more to come over the next few days.  Make sure that you jump on them as soon as you get the notification because the odds will move and move rapidly.  One or two yards can be the difference between a win and loss.

After the Bowl is finished, you know KrackWins is the best service in the country for NCAAB and NBA and the action will be furious as we head towards March.  So shed a tear as we say goodbye to Tommy and to this NFL season – but dry it quickly because there is plenty more action to help build our roll.
